Our city tour starts with a scale up the steps of a small hill to see Wat Phnom Temple, the birth place of
Phnom Penh. Then head to the famous Royal
Palace which was built in 1866 under the French protectorate and King
Norodom and the Silver Pagoda.
Continue to the National Museum, a
treasure chest of Angkorian and pre-Angkorian artifacts.
Afternoon visit the Tuol Sleng
Genocide Museum, a former high school which was used as the Security Prison
21 (S-21) by the Khmer Rouge regime from its rise to power in 1975 to its fall
in 1979. Spend the rest of the afternoon shopping at the Russian Market (Psah Toul Tom Poung).
Note: To see the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda in Phnom Penh, visitors are
required to wear appropriated cloths. Guests wearing short pans (above knee
level) and sleeveless tops are not permitted.
Optional activity: Boat trip in Mekong River
In the late afternoon enjoy a 1
hour boat trip in Mekong River to view the sunset view and see local lives
along the river.
After breakfast and check-out, take the drive to Siem Reap without
guide. Stop en route at Skun where
you can see the local market with spider delicatessen.
Upon arrival in Siem Reap, check-in at hotel. Rest of the day is free at
leisure.

After breakfast, visit the South
Gate of Angkor Thom and marvel the wonders of the eerie Bayon, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, Terrace of
Elephants and Terrace of Leper King.
Continue to Ta Prohm. Unlike most of
the other Angkor temples, Ta Prohm has been left like it was founded. The
photogenic and atmospheric combination of trees growing out of the ruins and
the jungle surroundings have made it one of Angkor's most popular temples with
visitors.
In the afternoon, visit the famous Angkor
Wat, built for king Suryavarman II in the early 12th century as his
state temple and capital city. The largest and best-preserved temple at the
site, it is the only one to have remained a significant religious centre –
first Hinduism, then Buddhism since its foundation.
Enjoy the superb view of sunset
from Pre Rup Bakheng.

In the morning, you will head out to Mechrey “floating village”. Take a boat and cruise through this
floating settlement seeing a floating school, farms, houses and many more
curiosities. Greeted by waves of the friendly locals, here you can glimpse
Cambodia’s lakeside culture and traditional family lifestyle.
Note: In dry season (Mar-Sep), when the water is low clients will visit Chong
Kneas floating village instead.

Enjoy a special circus performance from PHARE, an NGO teaching street
kids to become circus artists. You will love their interpretations of modern
life and issues in Cambodian society.
